Thanks for introducing the river library!

I didn't quite understand this statement. I can see why you would store the result for in the initial batch of data.

But what happens when you get the next set of data a few hour, days or weeks later? Would you append it to the existing data to calculate the revised metrics?

Isn't the idea not to store the data?
